There are many things that could motivate us doing better work or being more creative. However often its not that easy to understand, that paying higher salaries or giving the employees more freedom do deal with problems their way, is more efficient than force them to do it your way. I think I can completely agree with that. A good examples (which are presented in the video too) for that is of course Linux and Wikipedia. And as a drummer myself I can also agree with what he says about musicians. It’s fun to improve your skills and get better at it.
